Office Manager Cover Letter

Office Manager Cover Letter Sample 1:

I am writing this evening in response to the posting for the Office Manager position you’re looking to fill.  As I am sure is likely with the rest of the applicants, this posting immediately sparked my interest as presenting itself as an opportunity I believe I am the right match for.

I believe you will find my resume highlights my major professional accomplishments and abilities while also illustrating my passion for positively contributing to a greater vision.  My Bachelor’s degree was obtained at the University of Florida.  My leadership experience both in school and professionally reflects my desire to contribute above and beyond what is required.

For the last two years, I was employed as the Operations Manager for mid-sized international business, which focused on providing global educational services and professional training to the technology industry.  To put this position into perspective, I was the 13th employee hired at the company in 2009; as of this year, the company had grown to over 60 full-time employees.  I was fortunate to have been an instrumental part of policy-shaping and implementation, as well as running daily operational functions of the company including warehouse operations, process and project management, travel and event planning, shipping/receiving and logistics and also co-managing the company’s expenses (direct P&L responsibilities) with the Controller.

I have worked hard to develop professionally while continuing to grow and learn.  While I acknowledge that I have many strengths in my position, I also realize that I must always continue learning how to better myself as a leader and professional.  I have no doubt that coming on board in this capacity would be an exceptional opportunity to continue developing professionally and personally.  I believe that I possess the necessary experience, and knowledge to be a great addition to the organization. I am fluent in all Microsoft Office products, many Adobe products, SugarCRM, and have familiarity with SalesForce.

I would ask for consideration while you filter through candidates to fill this position.   I look forward to discussing this opportunity further and introducing myself in person.

Office Manager Cover Letter Sample 4:

I am writing in response to the advertisement you placed for an office manager in this week’s Star Tribune. Although I am currently employed as an office manager by Big Company I am looking to move on to an even larger office setting in order to further develop my management and leadership skills. As someone with over twelve years of office managing experience, I believe I am uniquely qualified to fill this position. Moreover, I possess the requisite personal and professional skills necessary for success in the position you advertised.

I attended Big Name University from 2001-2005, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Since then, I have worked in office settings and assumed increasing degrees of responsibility. You mentioned in your ad that you are interested in finding someone with prior experience working in a large office. In my most recent job, I was the office manager for a staff of over sixty employees. During my tenure, my office expanded our business volume by over 15 percent during one fiscal year. I was also able to find enough waste in the budget to trim our expenditures by 6 percent. I hope to bring the same ethic to your staff.

As I’ve written above, I also believe I possess the personal skills necessary to succeed in a job that requires a great deal of interpersonal contact. I take leadership training classes on an annual basis to make sure that I am aware of new developments in management techniques. I believe that a good leader should be approachable, and as an office manager, I always strive to have open doors for all my employees. In my current position, I’ve also created a performance incentivization program that has revitalized our business and revolutionized the way that managers and employees interact. I believe that it will be equally successful when applied to your business.

After reading this cover letter and my resume, I hope that you agree with me that we are well-suited to work together. I would appreciate the opportunity to further discuss my skills and qualifications in person. I can be reached at 555-555-5555 or by email at [email protected]
