One of my greatest strengths is my ability to remain focused on the goal of customer satisfaction. Knowing the outcome allows me to determine what actions are needed to keep clients satisfied. This approach includes being warm and friendly as well as providing professional service. Another strength that makes me well-suited to the hospitality industry is my adaptability. When you work in hospitality, things don’t always work out the way they were supposed to. I am quick on my feet and can change my approach as soon as it’s necessary.

I am confident that if I were allowed to work at your organization, I would be an asset. I have the personal disposition as well as the drive to succeed that working in the hospitality industry needs. The hospitality industry demands long working hours. Hospitality is my life. It’s the way I loved it in my growing days that I developed a passion for it. I grew up admiring the industry in general from a customer point of view, and then later got academically qualified within the same industry when I decided it’s where I wanted to lend my talents.

I have now been working in the hospitality industry for the past few years, and ever since gaining my qualification, I have managed to work in different capacities as I rose from the ground up. Some of my roles have included operating the front desk, handling customers, planning/managing events and more. My skill set has expanded significantly over the years as I worked in different establishments in the hospitality sector. I have gained skills in meal and drink preparations, event organization, customer service, menu pricing and customer psychology. Also, I am always looking to learn more from every opportunity I am offered.

I regard planning and flexibility as my core strengths, and two of the skills I use the most. I find that organizing everything from meals to events to restaurant seating arrangements gives me a great deal of satisfaction, especially when customers feel better because of it. I consider myself a hard worker, a no-nonsense individual and a quick learner. I also believe in the power of teamwork, especially in the hospitality industry. These skills make me confident that I am the ideal candidate for this position, and that I won’t have any friction when fitting into your company’s culture or working alongside your existing staff.

I like to call this my customer-centric approach. I am an organized, professional and personable individual with a friendly and approachable nature.

I have received my bachelor’s degree in hospitality and tourism. My experience spans over six years and includes administrative and hotel reception duties. It is here where I have honed my skills in interpersonal communication with guests and co-workers, attention to detail, solving problems quickly and efficiently as well as computer proficiency. I am fluent in both English and French and can easily understand and speak both at a conversational level.

My career began as a front of house hostess for a small restaurant before moving into the hotel space as an administrator and currently as manager of operations in front of the house. It is in this position that I have developed my leadership skills while supervising a team of 25 to 30 hotel staff at any given time. Additionally, I have been afforded the ability to promote hotel services to drive revenue while collaborating with other members of staff.
